RIGA - A mid-November afternoon assassination attempt in Riga's city center may be connected to the murder of a popular race driver, according to Riga city police.Maris Millers, a businessman, was shot twice on Nov. 15 by an unknown assailant while sitting in the Daila Imperija bar on Brivibas Street next door to the Hotel Latvija.Millers continues to recover from his wounds in the hospital during the weeks after the attack, said Riga city police.
