RIGA - The Vidzeme Regional Court threw the book at convicted murderer Alexander Koryakov this week, throwing him in prison for life.On Feb. 22 Koryakov slashed to death three kindergartners and their teacher who tried to defend them at a nursery school in the village of Gulbene about 200 kilometers east of Riga. A life sentence was the harshest punishment available to Judge Rinalda Liepina who sentenced him Dec. 7. after a week-long trial.
