VILNIUS (BNS) - A law against sexual discrimination came into effect March 1, although the official responsible for supervising enforcement has yet to be appointed.Rasa Melnikiene, an MP from the Center Union faction and head of the working group for the preparation of the law, told the Baltic News Service that the official charged with supervising the enforcement of the law would be appointed by the Parliament on the proposal of the parliamentary chairman.
