Latvia confused about March 16: Jewish community will not mark commemoration day

RIGA - When veterans of the Latvian Legion parade through Riga March 16, the Latvian flag will be conspicuously absent from at least one building in town. "[The commemoration] is absolutely inadmissible and this is our way of telling the country that," said Gregory Krupnikov, chairman of the country's 11,000-strong Latvian-Jewish Community.
