BRITAIN STEPS IN ON POWER PROJECT: Great Britain's National Power plans to invest some $100 million into a project to link Lithuania's electrical power grid with that of Western Europe. Christopher Robbins, the British ambassador to Lithuania, told Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus about National Power's investment plans March 2. The British energy company, which has about $6 billion in capital, has previously invested in Poland and the Czech Republic.
