Poll details declining support for Conservatives

VILNIUS (BNS) - Public support for the leader of Lithuania's Conservative government, Gediminas Vagnorius, has decreased sharply since his party found itself the recipient of corruption charges related to its role in the country's energy sector.Support for Vagnorius has dropped by some 8 percent according to a poll conducted by Baltic Surveys and published in the Respublika daily newspaper March 4.Meanwhile, Vagnorius' Conservative Party was overtaken by the opposition Labor Democratic Party, which received 10 percent support as opposed to the Conservatives' 8 percent.The Christian Democrat...
