NURSES CONSIDER PRE-ELECTION STRIKE: Estonian nurses are planning a strike just before the March 7 elections to protest low wages and a heavy workload. Ilve-Teisi Remmel, president of the Estonian Nurses Association, recalled how some nurses had wept on her shoulder because they did not know how to make ends meet with a salary of 1,800 kroons ($126.75) per month, the Sonumileht newspaper reported.
