EU steps up prep talks for Latvia and Lithuania

RIGA - Brussels has announced special help for the 10 nations at the back of the class aspiring to join the European Union.The European Commission announced March 1 that it is picking up the pace on preparing to talk membership with Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaria and Slovakia.
