VILNIUS - Lukiskes Square is the biggest square in Vilnius. It was Lenin Square with a sculpture of Lenin in its center a decade ago. In August 1991, the sculpture of Lenin was demolished by a cheerful crowd celebrating the beginning of the collapse of the Soviet empire. Since then discussions of how this square must look have continued for several years.
