LANDSBERGIS REMINDS OF NAZI OCCUPATION: In response to a statement by German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, who said he does not expect the Baltics to be invited to NATO at the alliance's April summit, Lithuanian Parliament Chairman Vytautas Landsbergis said Feb. 10 that he hopes Germany will not forget the role it played in the Baltic states' losing their independence during World War II.
