Punsk community vs. Polish state

PUNSKSEJNYVILNIUS - Lithuanian and Polish officials say that relations between both countries are better than at any time before in this century. Lithuanian Parliament Chairman Vytautas Landsbergis even said that "Lithuania has a more dynamic cooperation with Poland than with other Baltic countries." However, an incident in the small Polish town of Punsk raises concern among some Lithuanians. The Polish Interior Ministry decided to establish a border guard headquarters in the health center of Punsk, which locals call by its Lithuanian name - Punskas.
