Leftists call for Nazi probe

RIGA (BNS) - A group of lawmakers from the leftist For Human Rights in United Latvia, the former National Harmony Party, is urging the prosecutor general to step up criminal investigations committed by the Nazis in occupied Latvia.The lawmakers already sent a similar letter to Prosecutor General Janis Skrastins last year but have been dissatisfied with the lack of response, said MP Aleksandrs Golubovs. Golubovs told BNS, however, that more effort should be made to try Konrads Kalejs, now in Australia, who was expelled from the United States for lying about his past.Sabanskis said it is not ...
