Crime hurts Tallinn business, says poll

TALLINN (BNS) - Nearly 70 percent of business people in the Estonian capital say the business environment is suffering from lack of security and an increase in crime, according to a poll conducted by the Mainor market research company.Another factor which poses an obstacle to entrepreneurship is excessive bureaucracy and meager support.Nearly half, or 44 percent of business people interviewed, were neutral in their opinion concerning the municipal authorities' effect on the business environment, but 22 percent found that the city has obstructed the business environment and 15 percent that i...
