Lithuania fires back at Russian criticism

VILNIUS (BNS) - The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry reacted bitterly to last month's Russian criticism of the country's treatment of ethnic Russians, calling the statement "a diplomatic disgrace."On Dec. 22, Russian Ambassador to Lithuania Konstantin Mozel upbraided the Foreign Ministry for not providing proper health care for many Russian citizens. In a statement released by the Russian Embassy Dec. 24, a number of ethnic Russians accused or convicted of anti-state activities were mentioned, including Valery Ivanov, the former leader of the pro-Soviet Yedinstvo organization, and Stanislav Mits...
