Lithuanian prisoner in Chechnya rescued

VILNIUS (BNS) - A Lithuanian who had been held hostage in Chechnya for more than a year has the soldiers from the Chechen National Guard to thank for his rescue, according to Romualdas Ozolas, deputy chairman of the Lithuanian Parliament.After a meeting with officials from the State Security Department, Ozolas said it was too early to disclose all details of the rescue operation that sprang Vilnius businessman Viktoras Grodis, 35, from captivity in Chechnya.
