Suspected arms dealer charged

TALLINN - Estonian security police have brought charges against a man wanted for three years on suspicion of dealing in arms. Igor Vassiljev, a former customs officer and employee of the SIA security firm, was charged with illegal possession of cartridges and sales of Tulski Tokarev handguns on Sept. 28, 1995. He escaped to Russia in October of that year after a judge at Tallinn City Court refused to prolong the amount of time he could be held under arrest.
