EIHMANIS WILL REIMBURSE THE STATE: Under fire from all sides, Latvian National Armed Forces Commander Juris Eihmanis offered to return to state coffers National Guard funds used to repair his apartment in central Riga. Eihmanis told Prime Minister Guntars Krasts that he is willing to repay slightly more than 43,000 lats over the next year. Eihmanis said he has yet to decide how he will get the money, but suggested he may sell the apartment or take out a long-term loan.
