Estonia wins case in German court against tenants at Berlin embassy

TALLINN (BNS) - A German first-level court has decided in favor of Estonia in a lawsuit against tenants in the country's embassy building in Berlin.According to the decision, the tenants have to move out by Sept. 30, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Ehtel Halliste said July 31.The eight families living in a house in Berlin which before the war was the Estonian embassy have so far refused to leave the building, which legally belongs to Estonia, in the hope of a large compensation.The Amtsgericht Tiergarten court Monday acknowledged Estonia's claim, but the tenants may appeal the decision within ...
