Former Lileikis deputy to be tried for genocide

VILNIUS (BNS) – The Vilnius District Court announced Nov. 12 a ruling to try Kazys Gimzauskas, a former deputy security chief of the World War II era Vilnius District Security Board, for alleged genocide against Jews.The first court session is scheduled for Jan. 5, 1999.Gimzauskas is charged with complicity in a crime and genocide against Lithuanian citizens.
