Lithuania wants embassies back

VILNIUS (BNS) – Parliament Chairman Vytautas Landsbergis urged Russia to return Lithuanian embassy buildings in Rome and Paris owned by the Baltic country in the prewar period and now occupied by the Russian institutions."Lithuania's ownership rights to its property in these two capitals are unquestionable, though the Russian Foreign Ministry tries to confuse the issue," Landsbergis said in a statement issued Nov. 12.Landsbergis reiterated that this month the Permanent Committee of the European Council Parliamentary Assembly issued a resolution urging Russia to give the diplomatic compounds...
