Latvia’s Competition Council is pushing forward a case of malicious use of a dominant position on the part of the Riga Freeport Authority and Riga Freeport Fleet Ltd., reports Nozare.lv.

This stems from the company PKL Flote’s petition to CC in April about the detrimental actions of the two entities. Specifically, they prohibit or hamper new tugboat services, and obstruct conducting services in the port with baseless orders from the port’s captain or other specific moves.

At this time, a CC investigation is under way on specific Competition Law violations.
