No change atop the Lithuania rich list

VILNIUS - The top 5 richest people in Lithuania remained nearly the same in 2013 as in the year before, though, some changes took place within the entire list of 30 richest people in Lithuania, reports Veidas.

The richest person in Lithuania is Nerijus Numanavicius. He is the largest shareholder of Vilniaus Prekyba Group, whose property reaches 3.6 billion litas in value (1.04 billion euros). The second-biggest shareholder of Vilniaus Prekyba Group, Zilvinas Marcinkevicius, who now resides in Ireland and is developing new businesses ranks second on the list, which is compiled by Veidas for the ninth time, with 835 million litas.

The third on is Augustinas Rakauskas, who is the owner of the Senukai DYI chain with property worth 825 million litas.
Further down the list are Bronislovas Lubys’ widow Lyda Lubiene, who has inherited a majority stake in Achemos Grupe, with an 805 million litas fortune, and Darius Mockus, the owner of MG Baltic, with an 800 million litas portfolio.
