RIGA - The first two ships of the international regatta ‘The Tall Ships Races 2013’ arrived in Riga on July 21, Sail Training Association Latvia board member Ugis Libietis said via his Twitter account, reports LETA. Russia’s ‘Adventure’ and Norway’s ‘Det Gode Liv’ are docked in Riga.
Finland’s ‘Helena,’ another ship participating in this year’s regatta, arrived in Ventspils.
From July 25 through July 28, Riga will host the international regatta of training ships and yachts ‘The Tall Ships Races 2013.’ More than 100 training ships and yachts from 17 countries will visit Riga during the regatta.
Rigans and city guests will be able to board and tour the ships that will be anchored at the Riga Passenger Terminal and the Andrejsala Yacht Club. During these four days, Riga will host a variety of events, offering Rigans and city guests various entertainment opportunities.
