TALLINN - Leading members of Estonia’s Bar Association met with officials of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications last week, in order to discuss cooperation in training legal experts who would specialize in IT issues, reports Postimees Online.

Chairman of the Bar Association, Deputy Chairman Hannes Vallikivi and Chancellor Kristel Voltenberg met with the Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications in charge of IT affairs Taavi Kotka and with the Leading Specialist of the Information Society Division Ave Lauringson, in order to discuss cooperation. It was noted that despite the existence of IT law know-how in Estonia, exports of legal solutions requires additional training and intermediate financing.

“The Bar Association is prepared to contribute to increasing the awareness of its members, if there is potential demand, in organizing training as well as cooperation between law offices,” stated Luiga.
