More cash located for immunization

RIGA - More children will be provided with free immunization against tick-borne encephalitis in the coming months, thanks to a surplus in the National Immunization Program.As the year wrapped up, the Ministry of Welfare realized 58,000 lats ($103,600) remained in the reserve fund of the program. A decision was then made, according to ministry spokeswoman Jana Gavare, to use the money for encephalitis vaccines "because according to statistics, the disease is increasing and these resources could help solve the problem."Latvia has the highest rate of infection for the disease in all of Europe....
