Lithuania prepared to lend a hand in Kosovo

VILNIUS - As a deal was brokered that would withdraw Serbian troops from the embattled ethnic-Albanian Kosovo region, Lithuania wasted no time cozying up to the West by promising to help enforce a settlement.The Lithuanian State Defense Council said Lithuania is prepared to contribute 40 soldiers to assist in any peace settlements.
