TALLINN –The spotlight was this week focused behind the scenes at Eesti Televisioon when eight of the national television company's nine board members tendered their resignation. The eight board members announced as grounds for their decision their inability to control the activities of their director general, Toomas Lepp. The Broadcasting Council, which appoints the director general of Eesti Televisioon, or ETV, and has to approve the resignation of the board, has persuaded members to continue until it has analyzed the situation.
