Duma urges Lithuania to protect WW II veterans

MOSCOW/VILNIUS (BNS) - The Russian State Duma has urged the Lithuanian Parliament "to cut off radical nationalist tendencies and not allow the restriction of the rights of all living World War II veterans who fought on the side of anti-Hitler coalition countries."This appeal was passed by the State Duma unanimously with 290 votes and directed at Lithuanian MPs.The appeal was initiated by delegates of the People's Power grouping, who control the Russian Parliament's CIS affairs and liaisons with compatriot committees.The document states that World War II participants who fought with the Red...
