Man questioned in bank robbery released

RIGA (BNS) - The prosecutor's office on Sept. 14, ordered the release of Mihails Lubinskis, arrested earlier on suspicion of having links to the 1.6 million lats robbery at the Dome Square branch of the commercial bank Latvijas Unibanka. Lubinsky was released on his own recognizance, signing a pledge not to change his residence without notifying police. Latvian law limits to three days the time that persons can be detained for questioning.Police are still holding currency teller Indulis Sturans, suspected of paying out money without proper documentation.
