Just days after the end of a 42 day strike by Latvian greens against the construction of the Butinge Oil Terminal in Lithuania, illegal immigrants at the Riga detention center stopped eating to protest what they say are inhuman living conditions.Residents of the center demanded outside walks, general medical care and more opportunities to use the telephone.
