DOHA, Qatar– Latvian Ernests Gulbis’ run at Exxon Mobil Open has ended in the quarter finals where he has fallen to world no.1 Rafael Nadal 6-7 6-3. Gulbis confidence coming into the game had been high given the way he had swept aside his round of 16 opponent Antonio Veic in a little over 49 minutes.
