Dinamo Riga suffered heartbreak on Tuesday evening, with Avangard scoring the deciding goal less than two minutes from time to beat their hosts 3-2. Following four goals in the opening period, the game looked like it was heading for overtime, only for Avangard to score the telling blow with 1.28 left in regular time. Again Dinamo Rīga’s offence was too often proving inefficient; given the amount of genuine opportunities they were afforded.
