Russian military pensioners ailing in Estonia

TALLINN - Former soldiers in the Soviet military are entering their second month without receiving a single kroon of their pension from the Russian government. The recent crisis in Russia has left over 8,000 pensioners in Estonia without an income since July but with promises that they will get paid when the political situation in Russia is straightened out. "For the majority of the pensioners, this is their only income and that's why they are so worried right now," said Anatoli Fatjanov, secretary of the Society of Veterans Organizations.
