Foreigners could face more checks in Estonia

TALLINN - Don't leave home without your American Express card, particularly if you want to travel to Estonia. Estonian border guards have been instructed to start checking more regularly whether foreigners entering the country have a return ticket and enough money on them to finance their stay, the Interior Ministry has revealed. According to the ministry, travelers may be required to produce confirmation of their hotel booking, or a letter of guarantee from the institution or individual receiving them on the payment of accommodation costs.
