Building industry plagued with price dumping

RIGA - In Latvia the construction industry appears to have suffered the most from the economic crisis. Beginning  in 2009, the trend of decreased building and construction continued into this year. According to the data compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau, in the first quarter of 2010, there were only 462 apartments built, which is 62 percent less than in the same period for 2009. It must be taken into consideration that in 2009, 48 percent less apartments were built than in 2008.Also during the 4th quarter of 2009 construction management authorities granted 401 building...
