Anti-referendum campaign started

RIGA - During the last week of signature gathering for a referendum that would stall citizenship amendments, the counter side launched a campaign.Latvian Center for Human Rights and Ethnic Studies Director Nils Muiznieks together with supporters prepared posters and brochures calling for people to think before they sign for the referendum.The posters and brochures were introduced to the public on Aug. 12, six days before the Aug. 18 deadline for collection of the signatures that would slow up the passage of a group of citizenship amendments."The timing is good," said Muiznieks.
