Political mud slinging as prosecutor general resigns

RIGA - When a man chooses to resign from his job, two things usually follow. Firstly, he makes quite clear the reasons why he is walking away. Secondly, the higher ups accept the decision and, depending on the circumstances, either wish him good luck or never speak to him again.However, Latvian Prosecutor General Janis Skrastins' decision to tender his resignation on Aug. 11 has left both of these basic questions confusingly unanswered.So tight lipped has he been about why he quit that newspaper reports of speculation from political colleagues seem to be a more viable source of information ...
