BALTS GET SWEDISH MONEY BACK: Forty Estonian and Latvian individuals, including a few Jews, have got money back from accounts frozen in Swedish banks after World War II broke out. The Swedish government decided in March to publish information about 649 accounts holding 7 million Swedish kroons, most of which belonged to Estonians and Latvians doing business in Sweden before hostilities commenced. The reimbursements include interest for 10 years after the last contact between the depositors and the banks.
