Baltics establish common school zone

RIGA - Taking inspiration from their Nordic neighbors the Baltic states have signed an agreement that would allow students between the ages of 15 and 19 to attend school in the Baltic country of their choice.Assuming the agreement is passed by the parliaments of all three countries, the implementation could begin as early as January 1999. The agreement brings the states into closer cooperation on social and regulatory issues, a goal all have expressed a desire to achieve.
