TV executives forge agreement

TALLINN - Soap opera lovers need not turn on their TVs to catch the latest twists and turns in a dispute over television advertising. The latest move saw state-owned television and private broadcasters come to an agreement in what was threatening to become a war between private stations and the public service channel Eesti Televisioon or ETV. Culture Minister Signe Kivi and chancellor Margus Allikmaa met representatives from both public and private stations May 13.
