Latvia's Way backs Kristopans, Naglis

RIGA - The executive board of Latvia's Way is hoping that its vote of confidence in both Vilis Kristopans, the prime minister, and Janis Naglis, the head of the Latvian Privatization Agency, will ease what both men have acknowledged to be a tense relationship.The two men have long been at odds over the privatization process, but their differences were magnified after Ainars Slesers said Kristopans fired him as economics minister when he failed to sack Naglis, a charge Kristopans denies.Party Chairman Andrejs Pantelejevs said the board's decision to reassess Kristopans and Naglis' activities...
