Estonia to send new police contingent to Bosnia

TALLINN (BNS) – Five Estonian police officers will fly to Bosnia, July 22 to begin service in the U.N. police force in that conflict-torn former Yugoslav republic.They will replace nine other Estonians who have been stationed in Bosnia since last June, and whose mission ends on July 27, a police spokesman in Tallinn said. The U.N. police force in Bosnia, made up of law enforcement officials from several countries, is entrusted with monitoring the activities of local police.
