MERI SIGNS PENSION INSURANCE BILL: Estonian President Lennart Meri signed the pension insurance bill into law July 9 despite protests from several Estonian parties. The parliament approved the pension insurance law on June 26 as the first part of the three-pillar pension reform Estonia is about to adopt.
