VILNIUS (BNS) - The prosecutor general's office initiated legal proceedings July 19 against an Australian resident on charges of genocide in Nazi-occupied Lithuania.Antanas Gudelis, of Adelaide, Australia, is suspected of participating in the killing of civilians, including Jews, in the Lithuanian town of Kupiskis in July 1941, the prosecutor's office said.The information collected by the prosecutor general and the data provided by the Jerusalem office of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a Nazi-hunting organization, implies that Gudelis organized and directed an armed detachment in Kupiskis in ...
