Absconding activist of pro-Soviet coup lives in Moscow

VILNIUS(BNS) - Stanislav Mitskevic, who fled Lithuania shortly after the Vilnius court handed him a jail term in a trial on the coup d'etat of Jan. 13 1991, now lives in Moscow, officials of the State Security Department and Vilnius police told BNS.Commissar Kestutis Skendelis of Vilnius police said that Mitskevich, a Russian citizen, is most likely to be staying with his relatives in the capital of Russia.After an official search was announced in September, Lithuanian law-enforcement officials called upon their Russian counterparts asking for information about the escape.
