RIGA – While communist propaganda about the triumphant proletariat has made Latvians skeptical about "workers' rights," it may be that employees are sorely in need of some protection. One Riga man claims he is being victimized for standing up to unfair bosses.According to the pink slip issued by his employers, Juris Niedra was fired Nov. 4 from his job at the Teika furniture factory in Riga for taking an unauthorized break from his machine operator's job.
