RIGA - In the race to develop free capitalistic market economies after independence, Lithuania has fallen far behind its two Baltic counterparts, according to a report by Finland's Ministry of Labor.The study, entitled "Working Life Barometer in the Baltic Countries," compared their working conditions, such as the levels of unionization, time at work, overtime, salaries and livelihood, job satisfaction, stress factors and future prospects.It is the second labor study released by the Finnish ministry; the first, which compared Tallinn, St. Petersburg and Helsinki, was published in 1997.Finla...
