Economics minister considers resignation

TALLINN (BNS) – Estonian Economics Minister Jaak Leimann has said he is ready to quit in the fall in view of the upcoming elections scheduled for the spring of 1999. Leimann said in an article in the Eesti Paevaleht newspaper he would continue his career as a professor at Tallinn Technical University and as a management consultant.The minister said he was considering resignation since it is difficult for him to continue as a non-party minister.
