VILNIUS - Demonstrations against Russian aggression in Chechnya and Western indifference to this bloodshed have occurred near foreign embassies in Vilnius since Nov. 5. The Russian Embassy expressed dissatisfaction with the protests.The local committee for support of Chechen independence was the main organizer of the protests. Two demonstrations were in front of the Russian Embassy. Pickets have also been staged in front of the American, German, Norwegian, French, British, Turkish and Japanese embassies.
