Adamkus' Moscow visit called off

VILNIUS (BNS) - Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus' official visit to Moscow has been called off, because the Russian president, Boris Yeltsin, is unwell.The Russian Embassy in Vilnius confirmed on Nov. 25 that the Russian leader was unable to meet Lithuania's president because he was unexpectedly taken ill. Reports coming in from Moscow say that Yeltsin was diagnosed with a virus infection followed by acute bronchitis. Adamkus was to go to Russia on Dec. 3rd to 5th and apart from Moscow, he was to visit the regions of Yaroslavl and Kaliningrad.Adamkus's visit could take place this year, r...
